Sustainability at Heirloom
Reconciling our relationship with creation through practices of wise stewardship.
garden & farm
Heirloom is located on 95 acres of Ohlone land in Alameda County. We currently manage 14 garden beds, a fruit orchard, and care for a handful of farm animals. We are exploring sustainable living practices for both the household and the land.
we have goats, chickens, sheep, a llama, and a few cute cats - come by for a farm tour!
have chickens you can no longer care for? Our space is limited, but we can take them in for a $100 donation per hen to cover food and care. We are currently cannot accept roosters (hens still welcome).
we are learning the land and discerning future use for a small scale farm and considering potential farm partners committed to regenerative/sustainable practices (contact us!).
Farmstand
We have a self-serve farmstand and U-Pick orchard on the property. We have a consistent supply of farm fresh chicken eggs and goats milk soap from our goats! In other seasons we also sell persimmons (Nov-Dec), and garden produce and homemade jams and sauces (varies by season). Select your goods and pay by cash or venmo @heirloomeastbay.
When you enter the property, look for the farmstand & black fridge that says “EGGS”
